  1. I think that Eve is not to blame; the serpent (or the devil) is. The devil is an evil creature that doesn't want good things to come towards Adam, Eve, or God. The devil became a serpent do he could trick Eve and have God angry at Adam and Eve. If the serpent tempt Eve, she wouldn't have been in trouble.

  2. I think that Eve is to blame for what happens to her and Adam because she could have said no. True the serpent tempted her and made her curious about the fruit, but she chose to eat it. She could have said no as easily as she could have said yes.

    1. I think that Eve is to blame for what happens to her and Adam. It is partially the devil's fault for slyly tracking her to eat the fruit, but she did not resist her urge, and she disobeyed God. She also persuaded Adam into eating the forbidden fruit. If in were not for Eve, she and Adam would still live on Paradise

  3. No, I do not believe it was Eve's fault but she should listen to directions more carefully. Anyway, she was literally just created from Adam's rib and how was she to know anything. Also, I do believe that 'the devil" always wants bad things to happen to God,Adam, and Eve.Finally,

    Thanks!

  4. I think that it is Eve's fault. Although the devil slyly tricked Eve into eating fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, but she did not resist her urge and she also persuaded Adam to eat the forbidden fruit. If it were not for Eve, Adam and Eve would still live in paradise.

  5. Dear Ms. BOB,
I do blame Eve because the devil tricked her into eating the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. However, I can also agree that it was partially Eve's fault because she did eventually eat the forbidden fruit that the Lord told her not to eat, and then persuaded her husband, Adam to eat it too.

  7. I think the serpent is to blame because he tricked Eve into eating the fruit, saying that she would not die, and that God just said that to scare her. Eve believed the serpent, not knowing that he was lying, and shared the fruit with Adam out of kindness.

  8. I think that Eve should not take all of the blame for what happened to her and Adam, but she should take some of it. It was the devil that manipulated her into thinking that it was okay to eat the fruit. However, it was of her to follow the serpent's orders of eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil instead of listening to the Lord God.

  9. No, Eve is not completely to blame for what happened. I think that all three of them are to blame for what happened to Adam and Eve. Eve is partially to blame because she could have easily said no to the serpent. Adam is partially to blame because he could have stopped Eve from eating the fruit and said no when she offered the fruit to him. The serpent is also to blame because he tricked Eve into eating the fruit by saying that it would make her wise and she would not die.

  10. I think that the serpent/ devil is to blame. Eve did not know that the serpent was a devil waiting for an opportunity to condemn Adam and Eve to a lifetime waiting for death rather than immortality. Since there were no immediate results, Eve didn't know that death would become the ultimate cause of her actions so she thought that God didn't want her to have the knowledge of the gods and become superior or equal to God rather than to become inferior to him. Because of this, she convinced Adam to eat from the tree as well so she could share the gifts she had with her companion. Eve had good intentions when she ate from the tree and convinced Adam to do so as well, however it is the serpent with evil and wrong intentions. He is to blame for being the devil known as temptation. If the serpent didn't tempt Eve she would have still had her life of immortality rather than the curses placed upon her and Adam.

  11. No, Eve is not completely to blame for what happened. All three are to blame for what happened to Adam and Eve. Eve is partially to blame because she could easily have said no to the serpent and obey God. Adam is partially responsible to blame because he could have stopped Eve from eating the fruit and when Eve offered the fruit to Adam he could have said no. The serpent is also to blame because he tricked Eve into eating the fruit by saying that it would make her wise and that she would not die.

  12. I don't think that it was Eve's fault. It was the serpent, who pressured her into doing it. If someone said, "Oh, look at that thing! It is so good, but you can't have it!" wouldn't you want it? The serpent basically did that in a secretive way. He wanted Adam and Eve to suffer. I think the Lord should have done two things differently. One given a harsher punishment to the serpent and two given less of a punishment to Adam and Eve.

  13. Edie Thors- Eve is not to blame for Adam eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The serpent is the one to blame because it convinced and persuaded Eve to eat the fruit in the first place. If the serpent hadn't persuaded Eve to eat it, Eve and Adam wouldn't have eaten it, so they wouldn't have gotten kicked out of Heaven and treated badly by God.

  14. I think the devil serpent is to blame. Granted, Eve should have resisted her temptations but she had never been exposed to a feeling of temptation having lived in a world of paradise. The serpent took advantage of the fact that she was oblivious to the evils and wrongs in the world as she was surrounded by a life of safeness and feelings of calmness and serenity. There were no immediate effects that proved that death would be the outcome of her decision so she believed that God didn't want Adam and Eve to have knowledge that could make the two superior or equal to God rather than inferior. She had good intentions when she persuaded Adam to eat the fruit as she wanted to share her gift of knowledge with her companion. I believe that she cannot be blamed for being naïve having lived in a world where troubles were nonexistent.

  15. I think that ultimately, Eve is to blame for what happens to her and Adam. The serpent, who is the devil, did lure Eve into doing it, but since God gave her and Adam such a wonderful place to live in, she shouldn't have given in. In today's world, if you make a bad or mean choice, the devil won't be blamed, you will. However, Eve didn't have the knowledge of good and evil, so it was probably harder for her to make the right choice. It makes it worse, though, that after she ate the fruit, she lured Adam into doing it too. Eve and Adam only had to follow one rule, and they managed to break it.

  16. I think that this is Eve's fault. Like it said in the story, the only thing that God asked of Adam and Eve was obedience and Eve still ended up disobeying. On the other side of the spectrum, Adam and Eve were created by God the way they were, which was with curiosity. So if God did not want Adam and Eve to eat the fruit of the tree, why would he have made the tree to begin with and given them a feeling of curiosity? In the end I do think that it was Eve's fault, for all God asked was for obedience but at the same time they were also created with curiosity.

  17. Personally, I think that Eve made and mistake, but it is not entirely her fault. She was put in a bad situation. She was tempted by the beautiful tree and its fruit. She thought it would make her wise and equal to God, but the consequences of eating the fruit was that she and Adam would be kicked out of the garden and that she would gain childbirth. She also tempted Adam to try the pleasant taste of the fruit. He had to try the forbidden food, because his wife had tasted it. When God found out, he punished them and the serpent by making the serpent crawl on its tummy and be an enemy to all mothers and their daughters. For Eve, God punished her by giving her childbirth and made her unequal to Adam, so he would always be above her. And as for Adam, God gave him labor. It isn't entirely Eve's fault, because the serpent tempts and tricks her. Before the serpent came to her, Eve didn't have any desire to try the fruit, until the serpent persuaded her.

  18. Eve has part to blame, but not all is to be blamed on Eve. Even if Eve had convinced Adam, Adam still made the action with his own will. Also, Eve got tricked by the demon so to go back, the demon is the one to blame. On the other hand, why would god place the Tree of Knowledge where they would get curious about it. Although, this is not right, people get more curious if you tell them not to do something. In this case they didn't know the difference between right and wrong. God was asking Adam and Eve to follow a rule they do not even know why they have to follow. If God had explained what would happen maybe he could have prevented them from eating the fruit. However, it was also wrong of Eve to tempt Adam to eat the fruit as well as breaking the rule.

  19. Eve is to blame for what happens to her and Adam. God had tried to test Adam and Eve by telling them to not eat from the forbidden Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Already, by telling them that, he is testing them if they obey him or not.

The serpent, the devil in disguise convinced Eve, and she got tempted and decided to eat. If she hadn’t eaten the fruit, she wouldn’t have convinced Adam to eat it, and both of them would still be innocent. However, after she took a bite of the fruit, she persuaded Adam to eat it too, and that would make BOTH of them guilty. In conclusion, Eve is the blame and for the rest of the population that she created, they would suffer forever and never be in the true peace and happiness.

  21. Gemma Pierpont-
Eve is not to blame for getting Adam and her kicked out of Heaven. It is the serpent's fault because he persuaded her to eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Bad. If he hadn't told her to eat from it, she wouldn't have become smart and told Adam to. It is the serpent's fault for making Gob punish them and kick them out of heaven.

  23. No, Eve is most certainly not to blame for this incident. After she was tempted by the serpent and ate the delicious fruit, she also tempted Adam to eat it. Adam also gave in, meaning that curiosity had failed them both equally. If the serpent had tempted Adam first, wouldn't he have eaten the fruit to? If he did when Eve tempted him, he probably would either way. If both Adam and Eve gave in to the serpent, not only is it the serpent's fault, but both of their faults. However, even though they both did wrong, that doesn't mean that one(men) should be favored over the other(women). If God meant for all people to be created equal, then why are women frowned upon?

  24. No, Eve is not to blame for this incident. Both Adam and Eve are to blame. Eve was tempted by the serpent to eat the fruit, but Adam also gave in to Eve. If both of these people were failed by their curiosity, then why is all the blame thrown on Eve. Sure, she did convince Adam to eat the fruit, but she was only trying to share everything with her husband out of love. How is Eve to blame if Adam gave in too. The serpent is the main culprit, with Adam and Eve sharing some of the blame. If Eve is to blame, then that would mean it is ok for women to be frowned upon instead of being equal.

Eve is to blame by listening t the serpent and believing him. it is also adams fault because he disobeyed god and ate the fruit just because eve said so -laura

I think Eve is partially to blame because the serpant didn't necessarily trick her. All he said to her was that she wouldn't die if she ate it, also she knew that god didn't want them to eat from that tree so she should've respected what God told them. Adam also knew not to eat from the tree so even though Eve told him to he shouldn't have ate it. In the end, I think they both are to blame because as I said before they CHOSE to disobey God.

  27. I think that Eve is not to blame for what happened to Adam and her. I think that it is god's fault because if he hadn't put that dumb tree there in the first place than the serpent wouldn't have tricked Eve and then Eve wouldn't have told Adam to eat it and Adam wouldn't have eaten it and then God wouldn't have punished them. Anther reason I think that it is God's fault is because if he had just given them knowledge or hadn't made it up and turned it into a tree than no of that would have happened.

  28. I believe Eve was tricked into it by the Devil but it was also her fault for giving in to manipulation. She knew she wasn't supposed to eat from the tree but she gave in and did anyway.

It is the Devil's fault for tricking her but it is still Eve faults for believing him that it was okay when she knew it wasn't

  29. I think it was Eve fault because she listen to the Devil even when she wasn't supposed to. She knew she wasn't supposed to eat from the tree. By listening to Devil instead of God She put both her life and Adams life at risk. She soul of listened to God.

  30. I believe that Eve is to blame. If she were not to fall into the Devil's temptation, then her and Adam would have been fine. God gave specific orders, but Eve was to temped by the devil to listen. She put both of their lives on the line and made a stupid choice. She should have listened and followed God. God is always the answer haha.

  32. I think that Eve is to be blamed for what happened to her and Adam. I think this because she ate the apple first form the tree. She tricked Adam into eating it b y saying it was really good and juicy. He ate it and they were naked. Actions have consequences. They just found out what it was it was. God got really angry at them.
